Dr Joy Jinmi (f) MB, BS, MRCGP, MRCOG (Female) Dr Joy JINMI trained in Nigeria and joined the Practice 1st July 2002. She holds diplomas from the Royal Colleges of General Practitioners and Obstetricians & Gynaecologists. Her special interests are Family Planning, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Paediatrics and Medical Education. |
Dr Syed Mumtaz (m) MB, BS, MRCP (Male) Dr Syed MUMTAZ graduated at Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan. He joined the Practice on 1st April 2008. He holds Diplomas from the Royal College of General Practitioners and Physicians. His special interests are General Medical Diseases and Cardiology. |
Dr SaiKiran Alva (m)
MB, BS, MS(Ortho), MRCS, MRCGP (Male) Dr SaiKiran ALVA graduated from Mysore University in India. He joined the Practice on 1st July 2010. Dr Alva is a member of Royal College of Surgeons, Royal College of General Practitioners and also holds a Diploma in Family Planning. His special interest is Musculoskeletal Medicine. |

Estella - In addition to general nursing tasks our Minor Illness nurse who deal with rashes, coughs, sore throats ear ache etc, and can prescribe certain medication . all these minor illness do not need to be seen by a GP . If our Nurse feels that you do need to see a GP she will arrange an appointment for you |
Healthcare Assistants
Our Nursing Assistant Penny Picken, take blood samples, perform health and blood pressure checks, ECGs and run the Smoking Cessation Clinics. This is an expanding role and with further training we hope to extend their expertise and the services they provide for patients. |

Administration
Behind the scenes, our Office Manager Gul, and the Administration staff are involved in the smooth running of the Practice. This includes processing correspondence to and from Specialist services, referrals, raising prescriptions and booking appointments The Team consists of Elaine, Tim, Adele, Tina, Sandra, Debbie, Lauren, Dianne |
Reception
Our Receptionists also have the role of Administrators and will be pleased to help you with appointments, repeat prescriptions, requests for home visits, registration of new patients and answering queries. Anything you tell them will be treated in absolute confidence and will help us to deal with your problem more quickly. |
Community Midwives
The Community Midwifes and Doctors provide a shared care system for Ante-natal and Post-natal Care, both for mother and baby at the Surgery and at home. Our Community Midwife is based at Luton & Dunstable Hospital and can be contacted via the switchboard on 08451270127. The Midwife led Ante-natal Clinic runs every Wednesday morning and Friday afternoon at the Surgery. The Doctors Ante-natal Clinics run every Wednesday morning. |
Community Nurses
The District Nurses provide nursing care for patients who are housebound. Examples of their work include chronic wound or stoma dressings and follow up care for recently discharged hospital inpatients. They can be contacted on 01582 708241. |
Health Visitors
Health Visitors are Registered General Nurses or Midwives who have undergone further training to provide health education and preventative care, in particular for children under 5.
We have two Health Visitors attached to the Practice, who are based in the Health Centre across the road. They can be contacted on 01582 708300. They also run a variety of drop in clinics at the Health Centre. |
